The app My GeoPoints stores data on your device, namely

​

• names, which you give to your geo points

• remarks or

• addresses of the geo points

• the latitudes and longitudes and their accuracies and altitudes of your geo points

• the instances of time when you stored a geo point for the first time, used as a substitute to be displayed in case of a not given name

• messages you have defined as notifications which should be given to you at your next stay within a radius around the geo point, the sizes of the radiuses and the lengths of the intervals, within the app scans, if you stay there, as well as technical information if the scanning is active

• photos you have taken using the camera of your device, as long you started the camera from within the app

• references to and copies of images on your device, as long as you started the selection from within the app

• settings, which changes the behavior of the app, e.g. the language

 

The provider of the app has no access to your data.

The app can transform latitudes and longitudes into addresses and vice versa. To do so, it uses functions of the operating system. The operating system may transport these data over the internet to services of the provider of the operating system. The provider of the app has also no access to the data.

 

You can transfer your data to other apps on your device, e.g., to show your geo points on a map or to share them with other persons. In these cases, consider the data privacy statements of the other apps.

In the settings of the app you can activate, that the data of the app are transferred to the backup service. If you have additional enabled the backup service of your device, the data of the app are stored by the backup service provider outside the device. The provider of the app has no access to the data stored there.

 

In case your device uses the Android Backup Service, please keep in mind that Google does not ensure data privacy during backup, store and restore. If you have enabled data backup, you must not enter sensitive data (e.g., usernames and password, credit card numbers) as names, remarks or notifications and must not use sensible images.

 

The time of backup cannot be ensured, not even that the backup takes place at all. Please keep in mind, that the number of geo points in backup is limited by the amount of storage in backup. In case of the Android Backup Service the limit is 5 MByte for this app. Therefore, it compresses images under the loss of quality down to 100 kByte.
